AppFlood has just rolled out a major SDK update with useful new features for both advertisers and publishers. CPM campaigns are now available with the option to use rich media or video creatives. On the publisher side, developers can now customize the exact size and position of the ads they show.
For all these things you will need SDK 2.0. Get it here.
CPM campaigns
Now advertisers can choose to run CPM campaigns in addition to CPC and CPI. CPM stands for cost-per-mille, which means 1000 impressions.
You will choose your campaign type when you create your campaign. Each app can only have one campaign type, so if you want to run CPI and CPC campaigns for the same app, you will have to add them under different package names.
The minimum CPM bid is $0.01.
Publishers – as always, you can see the campaign type on your Analytics and Control page. To sort by CPC/CPI/CPM, click the Type Column.
Rich media and video ads
These new ad formats are only available for CPM campaigns, so first make sure you have one of those set up. Then go to Advertisers > Add/Edit > Creatives to upload your creatives.
Add your creatives to your campaign as usual and you’re good to go.
Totally customizable ads
Starting with AppFlood SDK 2.0 you can customize both the size and position of the ad banner.
This is especially useful if you’d like to display AppFlood ads in your own UI. For full integration instructions get the integration guide as part of the download package here or online here.
Look for more information coming soon on how to use these features to your advantage. If you have any feedback on the update, let us know in the comments or by emailing support@appflood.com.
